Introduction to the Student Sorting Kit

The Kit allows you to sort students into groups balanced by categories such as:

gender
ability
ethnicity
special needs, educational or otherwise
previous school
attitude
previous attandance figures
previous examination results
special talents

whilst allowing you to:

maintain chosen positive friendships
separate those who are mutually antagonistic
group together certain students by user-defined criteria (as for house systems or special curriculum requirements)
specify the size of any class

It can also be used to do one or more of the following tasks:

create balanced tutor groups for a school's new intake
create balanced groups for activity days
create balanced mixed ability classes
create balanced "house" populations
create balanced teams in sports activitities
